Mental Health and Mental Fitness

In elite amateur and professional golf, the mental demands of the sport stand as one of its most defining and challenging aspects. Unlike many team and individual sports of shorter duration, golf requires sustained mental fortitude across four to six hours of play, where a single lapse in concentration can derail an entire tournament. The solitary nature of the sport, combined with its precision requirements and the considerable time between shots for doubt to creep in, places psychological demands on players, in addition to the significant time travelling away from their family and fr.

This course will explore the fundamental aspects of mental health in golf, providing readers with practical insights and a deeper understanding of how psychological well-being directly impacts performance on the course. Whether you’re a coach, player, or mental health professional, we will cover many interesting aspects of mental health in golf.
